7th Annual NPRRA-REIPA Joint Conference
WELCOME

1. The Fixture Lien (and Judgments too!)
An attorney from First American’s senior land title underwriting group with additional years of experience in the UCC division has agreed to give a presentation based on the blurry line between local personal property searching and local real estate searching. The presentation would hopefully aid service providers to better understand what their clients are looking for, and what kind of questions our service reps. should be asking in order to effectively produce
an order. We will also touch on best practices when hunting for judgments.

Speaker: KEITH PEARSON – FIRST AMERICAN
Session Chair: JENNIFER KLEMP

2. Across The Pond: Incorporations and Secured Transactions in the U.K.
Gavin Lief from member company Trident Trust will discuss the intricacies of registrations in the U.K.

Speaker: GAVIN LIEF
Session Chair: COLLEEN DEVRIES

3. Money Laundering: Our Role
The ongoing efforts of the ARA and NPRRA will have resulted in definitive material by April of ’08. We intend on inviting a panel of insiders to educate the membership with regards to what might be an official, Best Practices document.

Speaker: STEVE CRAIG
Session Chair: JENNIFER KLEMP

4. Tax Prep Tips for Small Business Owners
A CPA will address some of our smaller members regarding money saving tips associated with the preparation (and return) of taxes

Speaker: TBA
Session Chair: LARI QUICK

5. The NPRRA Board
In an effort to increase member volunteers and educate relative to the functions of the board, Jim Sturdy will enlist some NPRRA veterans to join into this discussion. Board members will enlighten the group as to the way the various committees are run. Members will learn about the time and effort our board members put in each year and will be encouraged to sign up for our 2009 committees.

Speaker: JIM STURDY
Session Chair: JIM STURDY

6. Corporate Round Table
You asked, we listened. Our round table sessions last year left members wanting more. Join us for fewer tables, and more time to discuss!

Speaker: TBA
Session Chair: Irene Motta
